United States forces have finally tracked down and arrested Ugandan war lord Joseph Kony outside the Sudan embassy in Washington, DC.
...Wait, no... that doesn't seem right.
Ohhh, George Clooney.
The actor and political activist was arrested during a protest outside the embassy criticizing the Ugandan government for blocking aid to the Nuba Mountain region, and for crimes its has perpetrated against its own citizens.
Among the others arrested were George's father and journalist Nick Clooney, Martin Luther King III, NAACP President Ben Jealous, members of the House of Representatives Jim McGovern (D-Mass) and Jim Moran (D-Va), and former Representative Tom Andrews (D-Mass).
The group was arrested after being told to leave the embassy, which is private property--
...Wait, no... that doesn't seem right. The MSNBC headline reads "George Clooney arrested, handcuffed, outside Sudan embassy in D.C." But surely they meant "Two Members of Congress arrested..."
Yes, a politically active actor getting arrested at a protest is apparently bigger news than two sitting members of the House of Representatives being arrested at the same protest.
Folks, this is why Africa can't have nice things.
